Microsoft stellt Soapbox ein

Now, the next YouTube of the competitors caught. Due to lack of success, the video portal from Microsoft “soapbox” is set. The reason is obvious, while YouTube over 40 percent of market share can dümpelt the Seifenbox at around two percent. They were the two already very close.

Microsoft was said to seriously interested in to have YouTube. Well, Google got the award and in 2006 was 1.65 billion U.S. dollars for this competence. The problem in fact is, however, that for a long time is not clear whether this investment ever comes back. The latest figures from YouTube to help as well not really. The analyst Spencer Wang of Credit Suisse expects 240.9 million U.S. dollars in revenue around 613.3 million U.S. dollars spending. The largest part of which must be spent for traffic, the rest is divided in royalties, hardware and personnel. It is therefore an estimated loss of 470 million U.S. dollars. Officially confirmed these figures are not. The question, therefore, when it already has Microsoft failed to offer YouTube Paroli, who will? If it is not YouTube itself creates serious business figures to be delivered, then who? What problems that digital distribution has to gibts here .

    Schaut man sich clipfish und sevenload mal an, sind die mit Videoads zugekleistert, die Nachfrage nach vernünftigen Video-Ad-Plätzen ist groß. Dass YouTube noch nicht als Kuh gemolken wird, liegt einzig daran dass Google es zur Zeit noch nicht für nötig hält. Die Technologie die AdSense im Videobereich entspricht muss erst einmal aufgebaut werden. Dann sieht die Umsätz mit Bewegtbildwerbung aber denen der Text- und Bannerwerbung weit überlegen und die Akquisition wird sich auszahlen.
